Who an online store pays off for

A store doesn't make sense for every product. These three starting points are the ones we see most often – and all three work.

Shop with regular customers

You already sell on site and want to serve the same customers when the shop is closed. The store is an extension, not a replacement – and setup is fast because the range and photos often already exist.

Manufacturer selling direct

You produce yourself and don't want to hand the margin to intermediaries. What matters most here is that product pages convey the quality, with good images and copy that explains rather than lists.

Service business with add-on products

Courses, vouchers, accessories, digital downloads. Often a small range with a high margin that runs alongside the main business. A lean store inside your existing website is usually enough.

Which system fits your store?

We're not tied to any platform. What fits depends on your range and your processes.

Shopify

The fastest option. Payments, shipping rules and tax rates are built in, updates run automatically. In return you pay monthly fees and a transaction fee if you don't use Shopify Payments. Right for up to a few hundred products and standard processes.

WooCommerce

Runs on WordPress. Sensible if you already have a WordPress site or have specific requirements for product variants and pricing logic. More freedom, but you need someone for maintenance and security updates.

Custom build

When speed, SEO or a connection to your inventory system is the deciding factor. Higher initial investment, but no ongoing platform fees and full control over every detail.

Payment systems your customers trust

We integrate the most popular and trusted payment gateways such as TWINT, PayPal as well as credit and debit cards (VISA, Mastercard) into your ecommerce store.

In Switzerland the payment method often decides whether a purchase completes. TWINT is now the first choice among younger buyers, while older customers expect credit card or invoice. We integrate the methods that suit your audience – every extra option costs fees, but every missing one costs orders.

From idea to first sale

Step 1

Range and concept

We clarify what's being sold, how the products are structured and which shipping and payment rules apply. These questions decide the platform choice, which is why they come first.

Step 2

Design and product pages

Structure of the homepage, the categories and above all the product page. It's the most important page in the whole store, because that's where the buying decision happens.

Step 3

Technology and payments

Setting up payment providers, shipping rules, VAT and order confirmations. Swiss stores add their own specifics, such as weight-based shipping costs or delivery to Liechtenstein.

Step 4

Adding products

Images, descriptions, variants, stock levels. You can take this on yourself or leave it to us – for larger ranges we import from a spreadsheet.

Step 5

Test orders and launch

We place orders ourselves, check every email and every payment route, and only then go live. After launch we look at the first real orders and fix whatever gets in the way.

Frequently asked questions

Which payment systems can be integrated?
We integrate the methods commonly used in Switzerland: TWINT, credit card via VISA and Mastercard, PayPal as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Purchase on invoice is also possible, though via a provider such as Powerpay that takes on the default risk. Which combination makes sense depends on your audience – every extra payment method costs fees, but a missing one costs orders.
How long does it take to build an online store?
A lean store with few products on Shopify is ready in three to four weeks. With custom design, a larger range or a connection to your inventory system, expect eight to twelve weeks. The biggest time factor is usually the product data: images, descriptions and variants take more effort than most people expect.
What does an online store cost in Switzerland?
A simple store starts at around CHF 1,200. With custom design, up to a hundred products and SEO foundations, the range is typically CHF 4,000 to 10,000. On top come running costs: Shopify starts at about CHF 30 per month, payment providers take between 1.2 and 2.9 percent per transaction.
Can I manage the store myself?
Yes. Creating products, changing prices, processing orders and maintaining stock should work without us. We set up the backend accordingly and walk you through it at handover. For design changes or new features we're here.
Do I have to charge VAT?
As soon as your annual turnover exceeds CHF 100,000 you become liable for VAT in Switzerland. The store then calculates the rates automatically and displays them correctly. Below that threshold we still set the system up so a later switch needs no rebuild – which saves you work as you grow.
How do customers find my store?
A store doesn't bring visitors with it. There are three routes: search engines via optimised product and category pages, paid advertising via Google Shopping or social media, and your own customer list via email. We build the store so the first route works from the start – the other two cost money continuously.
